Saltinntaket i den norske befolkningen er dobbelt så høyt som anbefalt. En reduksjon av inntaket vil være et viktig bidrag til bedret folkehelse. Saltpartnerskapets overordnete mål er å redusere saltinntaket i befolkningen med 15% innen 2018 og 30% innen 2025. For å nå dette målet må mange aktører samarbeide. Saltpartnerskapet består av virksomheter i matvareindustri, serveringsbransje, bransje– og næringsorganisasjoner, forskningsmiljøer, interesseorganisasjoner og myndigheter.

Saltinntaket i den norske befolkningen er dobbelt så høyt som anbefalt. En reduksjon av inntaket vil være et viktig bidrag til bedret folkehelse. Saltpartnerskapets overordnete mål er å redusere saltinntaket i befolkningen med 15% innen 2018 og 30% innen 2025. For å nå dette målet må mange aktører samarbeide. Saltpartnerskapet består av virksomheter i matvareindustri, serveringsbransje, bransje– og næringsorganisasjoner, forskningsmiljøer, interesseorganisasjoner og myndigheter.
– En historisk avtale.
Mandag 5.oktober inngikk Grilstad saltpartnerskap med helsemyndighetene. Gjennom denne avtalen forplikter Grilstad seg til å arbeide med reduksjon av salt i sine produkter. Det er utarbeidet saltlister for alle produktgrupper, deriblant kjøtt. Grilstad har sittet i arbeidsgruppen for kjøtt sammen med andre aktører i kjøttbransjen.

Vi er nå midt i et større prosjektarbeid med mål om å redusere saltnivået også i spekepølser, spekeskinke og annen spekemat. Å redusere saltnivået i disse varegruppene krever nøye forskning for å gi oss nødvendig kunnskap om prosesser knyttet til salting, modningstider og smak. Vi skal gjennom dette arbeidet være en aktiv bidragsyter i saltpartnerskapet, slik at partnerskapet når sine mål for å bedre folkehelsen.
